Self pic for blog My name is Linda Groce and I’ve been teaching elementary school for over 16 years. I have found my niche in kindergarten this year and I hope I get to stay in this grade for awhile. Teaching is my calling in life! I spend time researching, creating, and planning lessons to keep my students engaged and to help them become lifelong learners. I’m definitely not perfect at this, but I try. Even though I’m 53, I still reflect on how can I make this and that lesson better!!

I live in a suburb south of Atlanta, GA called Fayetteville. I practically grew up here, so it is really special to me to get to teach here as well. I’ve been married to the most wonderful husband for over 30 years. He is a great support and help. I have 2 grown married children. So now that they are married, I have 4 children. We are a close knit family and we always love getting together for special times. I also have 2 granddaughters from my daughter. One is 9 years old and the other is 5 months old. Yes that is a gap, but the 9 year old is such a terrific help with the baby!

Even though I’m mentioning what I do and my family first, I have to say that I love the Lord with all my heart, my soul, and mind! A lot of times I falter with this, but His grace is sufficient for me! I don’t know where I would be without the Lord in my life! I am active at my church called New Hope in Fayetteville. I sing in the choir, help with playing the piano (just a tiny bit, but I love it!), help in the children’s ministry with various events such as their children’s worship time, and Vacation Bible School, and I’m involved in various missions activities. One of which is a missions trip with my husband and several others to South Wales. We sing in gospel presentations at night and during the day I lead a group into going to schools and present an assembly program or go into the classroom and work with children in there. This will be our 10th year going!! WOW!!
